Â鶹ŮÀÉ launches spotlight on creating happy and healthy workplaces across social care
Throughout May and June Â鶹ŮÀÉ is focusing on providing support to create happy and healthy workplaces.
We’ll be sharing information and ideas to help social care employers, managers, and their teams with creating and being part of a happy and healthy workplace.
Being happy and healthy at work is about more than occasional wellbeing activities and workshops; it’s something that needs to be baked into the values and processes that underpin everything about how our organisations work, and that’s what we’re aiming to support with through this campaign.
From our data analysis and through working closely with social care providers, we know that a happy and healthy team is a productive and loyal team, making staff wellbeing a core part of any effective retention strategy and a priority in providing the best level of care.
Our research has found that respecting and valuing staff, investing in learning and development, promoting inclusivity, providing compassionate leadership, embedding organisational values, and celebrating achievements all go a long way to improving employee happiness.
We’ll be providing further information and inspiration on each of these factors during the campaign, sharing examples from providers and people working across the social care sector.
We’re also asking as many people as possible to get involved by sharing what you do to support the wellbeing of yourself and your team. You can share your insights using #HappyHealthyWorkplace and tagging Â鶹ŮÀÉ on Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook.
