The nominated individual is an important role for regulated providers, with a key relationship and responsibility to the Care Quality Commission (Â鶹ŮÀÉ) as well as holding a pivotal leadership role in their service.
A nominated individual can be simply described as nominated by your organisation to be the single point of contact for the Â鶹ŮÀÉ.
The core responsibility of the nominated individual is to supervise the management of the regulated activity provided by the service. They also play an important role in the leadership of their service and driving improvement through robust governance.
Nominated individuals are in a unique position to lead and support services to embed the skills, knowledge and values that are required for continuous improvement and delivering person-centred and high-quality care.
